WWEBM Opening Soon...
After a very long day yesterday (6/28), I thought I would give an update to my activities up to now. In my previous post, I made mention that I was updating my Turbo Lister in include all of the data from all of the eBay sites around the globe. I didn't realize that this process would take several hours to complete. Even when I did an update last night, it took much longer to download the information. I guess if you think about it, it does make sense: the system has to querry each site individually; store the data in a holding buffer; and once compiled, send the data to my computer. All I can say is that I am glad that I had a high speed connection. I couldn't imagine trying to attempt such a task without it. Besides the time that it took, it also used much of my system resources: so things started slowing down to the point that I couldn't get much done.
With that all said, I do now have the lister updated and ready to go. The problem that I now face, is transfering all of the data (e-boooks) from my other account to my new account within Turbo Lister. The only way that I have found, is to manually re-enter the data; or at very least to CnP the data from one place to another: using notepad as the storing medium between the two accounts. I will have to check with eBay to see if there is another avenue that I just didn't see. But as eBay can be slow in responding to querries; and as I would like to get at least one product on the "shelf", I will probably just do the CnP today on one item, and then just wait for an answer to my querry.
The next thing of note is that I completed the update process to the "new" ebay account. But more importantly than that: I opened a new store associated with this updated account. You can find the store by navigating to http://stores.ebay.com/World-Wide-E-Book-Marketers-Intl. Although I don't have any products in it yet (as I mentioned above), I did work very hard in getting the framework put together. Besides the store itself, I had added the following pages:
- FAQ's: This was my first ever attempt at creating a frequently asked questions section; and ebay made it very easy - including some suggested initial (editable) questions. I limited myself (for now) to 10 questions.
- T.O.S.: My Terms Of Service here was basically ripped from my other site. However, because I am going to dealing almost exclusively with digital media; I had to edit and append to the wording to fit whatI am doing.
- Return Policy: This too, was taken from my other site, and it was also edited for content.
- About Us (ME): This page was my favorite page to create; and it actuaally was the first to be completed. I personally think that it is the prettiest of the pages: not just because it has my picture on it (although that is a good reason too. ;~D); but I just like the layout and colors that I chose.
As I said before, I hope to get at least one product listed today. Today is President's Day here at Black Cat Enterprises (see the previous post), and I may end up going out. But as an owner of this business, I don't really ever stay gone for long. I hope that you like this new store, and will help me by supporting it, and networking with us in this new community. And of course, if you are a publisher and would like to get your works put on the web, by all means contact me here.
